Timeline
A small but special inheritance: a dozen beehives left to Roberto by his grandfather Pietro, a beekeeper. This is how Roberto - now CEO of Beeing - entered the world of bees, discovering their beauty as well as the challenges: large spaces, equipment, time, and energy.
In a startup accelerator, Roberto met Gabriele, a computer engineer and now co-founder. They combined their passion for beekeeping with technology: Beeing was born. It started with ioBee sensors (now under the brand antifurtoarnia) to remotely monitor bee health.
B‑BOX arrived, the first beehive designed for urban beekeeping. Through crowdfunding alone, it reached over 450 users in more than 40 countries worldwide: a true revolution for the concept of beekeeping.
Projects expanded: air quality bio-monitoring using bees, smart urban apiaries, educational activities, and a remote beehive adoption program. The community now includes hundreds of urban and professional beekeepers, united by love and deep respect for bees and nature.
